Adventure Camp, Northbridge and Mosman

Adventure Camp is what parents and children dream of when it comes to a school holiday activity. With the tagline ‘No kids left inside’, there is also an amazing philosophy that runs through the core of the program. “We believe that kids learn through adventure and the best adventures are had outdoors. Studies agree that kids who play outside are smarter, happier, more attentive and less anxious than kids who spend more time indoors. As parents we want our kids to be able to gain great life skills and learn to feel safe and have fun outdoors. That’s why we started Adventure Camp.”

There are two, three and four day camps to choose from. On each day, there are challenging outdoor and problem solving activities, and a storyline for the duration of the camp. At the end of each activity the kids discover a clue. On the last day these clues come together so the kids can solve a mystery. Activities are on land and water, and can include sailing, rafting, snorkelling, water games, building something, scavenger hunts, map reading, beach games, and more.

Good to Know: Adventure Camp is for boys and girls in primary school, aged 7-12. The day is generally broken up into four separate periods of activity – and plenty of rest is provided for lunch, morning & afternoon tea and drinks. Each Adventure Camp is run by highly experienced staff and instructors who work with children on a daily basis. All staff hold current First Aid certificates, and have completed a ‘Working with Children’ check.

Cost: 2 Day Camp -$194.95, 3 Day Camp – $289.95, 4 Day Camp – $369.95

Holiday Rock Camp, Crows Nest

If your child has ever dreamed of being in a rock band, or just really likes music – Big Music at Crows Nest is the place to be these school holidays. Big Music has been running their Holiday Rock Camp program with great success, and all the staff are qualified musicians who are passionate about encouraging a love of music in their students. There’s no experience necessary with a course to suit all levels. The emphasis of the camp programs is on fun and participation in playing and performing popular music with other kids.

Courses include:

  • The Ultimate Rock Experience. An “entry level” program for kids with little or no prior musical experience, or who are keen to try a few new instruments. Participants are typically 6-12 years old.
