If you haven’t tried 2 Bridges Pizzeria in Neutral Bay – now’s the time. The family-run eatery is passionate about creating the real deal when it comes to pizza and pasta.
If you’re seeking a slice of Italian authenticity with a contemporary twist, then bookmark 2 Bridges Pizzeria for your next night out. The cosy 50-seat pizza joint opened in Neutral Bay earlier this year with an impressive menu of sourdough pizza, classical pasta and Italian sweets. They’re the real deal too, being the only venue in Sydney certified by the “Accademia Italiana della Pizza”.
“As a family-run enterprise, we hail from three distinct Italian cities and regions: Rome, Turin, and Padua…,” the team shares. “The moniker of the two bridges symbolises the connection between the two nations Italy and Australia, while also uniting classical and modern pizza toppings.”
At the heart of 2 Bridges Pizzeria is their signature sourdough pizza. Crafted with genuine Italian stone ground flour, the dough strikes the perfect balance between lightness and crispiness.
“Our focus revolves around forging connections, merging cultures, and upholding Italian authenticity,” the team explains. “Our pizzas originate from an exclusive recipe by the renowned grandmaster Pizzaiolo Enrico Sgarbossa, incorporating premium ingredients and innovative takes on flavour combinations and techniques.”
You’ll find traditional classics like the Diavola with spicy salami and the Burrata pizza adorned with fresh burrata atop a layer of San Daniele prosciutto, alongside innovative creations like the Michelangelo with sausage, braised onion and hot salami, and the Marco Polo with prawns and a zesty pesto emulsion.
But it’s not just about pizza. 2 Bridges also whips up homemade pasta that your nonna would approve of, antipasti that’ll transport you to the streets of Italy, and desserts that’ll finish you off on a sweet note (hint: don’t skip the creamy tiramisu).
Pasta options include Lasagne Al Forno, Fettuccine Bolognese, Pasta Arrabbiata, Ravioli 4 Cheese and Truffle, and Squid Ink Spaghetti.
For drinks, you’ll find a selection of complementary wines sourced from Australia and Italy, with many sourced sustainably from low-intervention, biodynamic and organic winemakers. You can also sip on traditional and craft brews, alongside Italian spritzes and spirits.
The team adds, “You’ll find yourself immersed in a serene and calming environment, complemented by an authentic Italian atmosphere that radiates positivity and joyful smiles. This enchanting backdrop serves as a perfect, snug retreat for a laid-back evening date or a convivial gathering, embodying every delightful aspect of Italian greatness.”
