A New Gem Highlights Crows Nest’s Boutique Apartment Trend

A trend towards smaller boutique developments is creating a point of difference in the apartment scene in Crows Nest. The recently-launched Alexander Residences will feature just nine modern apartments all with due-North views, and a focus on luxe finishes and lavish inclusions.

With its abundance of fabulous cafes, bars and restaurants, its proximity to transport, hospitals and schools, Crows Nest has developed a growing reputation as one of Sydney’s most convenient suburbs to live in.

While the high rise apartment trend has certainly not passed Crows Nest by, more recently a growing number of smaller boutique developments have become some of the most sought-after properties in the Lower North Shore market.

Developer Ben Dunnet, from the Armada Group, points out:  “Our focus is on smaller scale, boutique projects in the best locations that are suited to the downsizer market. When you are moving from a larger home with every comfort and it is a smaller space than what you are used to, you still want to have the creature comforts.”

The interiors have been handled by local Crows Nest agency, Nettleton Tribe, which also designed a previous Armada project in Northcote Street Naremburn – winner of a Master Builders Association Excellence Award.

Buyers can expect natural tones and textures, with open plan living spaces, European appliances, engineered oak flooring, indoor and outdoor entertaining and alfresco dining terraces.

CBRE’s senior director of residential, Tim Rees, is selling the properties, and confirms that early interest has been strong. “We have received in excess of 350 enquiries within the first week of marketing with strong demand from discerning empty nesters, mainly from Lower North Shore areas of Cammeray, Crows Nest, Lindfield, Wollstonecraft and Neutral Bay”.

Located in a tree-lined street overlooking a heritage conservation area, the development has been designed to sit harmoniously within its urban village context.

The new Crows Nest Metro station which is currently under construction will open-up even greater accessibility to the key business and social centres of Sydney. This will be a generational transformation for the city connecting Crows Nest directly to North Sydney, Barangaroo and Martin Place, all within minutes.
