Art at Night – part of Art Month Sydney’s annual city-wide festival – is coming to the North Shore. And what better place to celebrate than our area’s very own artistic and cultural hub… the TWT Creative Precinct!
Art Month Sydney is a city-wide festival that celebrates contemporary art, artists and galleries through a rich and diverse program of exhibitions, workshops, panel discussions, artist studio visits, tours, precinct nights, parties and more. This annual event is being celebrated on the Lower North Shore at the TWT Creative Precinct in St Leonards with the festival’s only Friday night event on Friday March 22.
The TWT Creative Precinct is an exciting initiative which involves the conversion of a number of commercial buildings between Atchison Street and Chandos Street in St Leonards into creative spaces. Since opening in 2014, the TWT Creative Precinct has grown to now house over 70 artists and creative businesses from the visual, performing, music and film disciplines. Incorporating 16 different spaces over 11 buildings on Atchison and Chandos Streets, the precinct offers over 4500sqms of subsidised space to the local creative community.
This Friday night, you can check out four major exhibitions at Contact Sheet, Cre8tiv Gallery & Studios, ME art space, and White Rhino Artspace. Plus there’ll be some contemporary dance in the making with SHIFTING LINES, irresistible chocolate treats from Bakedown Cakery, and a brand new ‘capsule drop’ range showcasing at Lonely Kids Club fashion store on the night, available only in store with strictly limited numbers.
