There’s already been quite the buzz around Black Star Pastry opening in Chatswood Westfield and now the creators of the World’s most Instagrammed cake are finally here!
Black Star Pastry is famous for good reason. Their delicious treats, including the now infamous world’s most Instagrammed Strawberry Watermelon cake, have earned them cult status. Given that everything they produce is as beautiful as it is delicious it’s not hard to see why they’ve become so popular. And now they’ve arrived at Chatswood Westfield so you can get your Black Star fix closer to home!
The new store is in Chatswood Westfield and officially opened on Saturday the 28th of October.
General Manager Danielle Laskovsky tells us that Black Star is centrally managed, as opposed to franchises, and that the decision to open their newest location in Chatswood was an easy one.
“Chatswood is a vibrant hub on the North Shore, and we’ve found it to be one of our customer-centric city locations since the business’ inception. Our loyal North Shore customers have always travelled to our store locations to enjoy our cakes and pastries, so it’s special for us to bring a store to them.”
While best known for the Strawberry Watermelon cake, Black Star is far from defined by one product, continually producing new, unique, and tantalising treats for their patrons.
“The new Chatswood store pays homage to the culturally diverse suburb and its residents through its design and newly released creations,” says Danielle. “We’ll be celebrating with the release of new (and classic) creations; our newest savoury items, the Kimcheese Toastie, as well as our Matcha Ceremony and much-loved Mango Yuzu Cake.”
When asked if she has a favourite menu item Danielle says it’s virtually impossible to pick.
“My go-to is the ‘All-Star Box’ a sample box of all our signature and most sought-after creations so customers can have a taste of everything and coin their favourite.”
If you’ve often wondered how they come up with all those amazing flavours, the credit goes to the pastry chefs and the highest quality ingredients.
“We have an incredible team of dedicated Chefs who work in our production kitchens in both Melbourne and Sydney to supply our stores with our incredible creations, handcrafted with the finest produce and ingredients…,”says Danielle.
“Our signature cake range is created with poetic storytelling woven through each slice. Every cake is unique, evoking the senses in moments of edible emotion.”
