The North Shore is gearing up for a super fun spring with some fantastic fairs and festivals. We’ve rounded up a list of some of the best for your calendar…
Lane Cove Festival
Another long-standing local event, the Lane Cove Festival is on now for its 31st year.
The 2023 Festival runs for the entire month of September and will feature workshops, open days, performances, art exhibitions, children’s activities, food and wine, open days and so much more.
Some of the highlights include the Lane Cove Fun Run, the Big Family Fun Ride, Car Free Sunday, the Lane Cove Rotary Fair, a Paw-some Party (for dogs and their humans) and the Carisbrook Wine, Cheese and Jazz Event.

North Sydney Council’s Neon Night
As part of their Village Vibes program of events, North Sydney Council will be making Hume Street Park in Crows Nest glow for Neon Night.
The family-friendly evening will include a fluorescent art installation, UV facepainting, roving LED entertainment and music from a neon DJ booth. Neon clothes are optional but highly recommended!

Multicultural Spring Fair
The annual Multicultural Spring Fair at the Willoughby Uniting Church is on 9 September. There’ll be something for everyone – from entertainment for the kids, to demonstrations in origami, cooking, calligraphy and flower arranging, as well as demonstrations and performances by local multicultural dance groups and choirs. All this, and lots of stalls where you can pick up a bargain – plants, books, toys, cakes and more.

Pymble Ladies’ College Garden Party
Nothing says stunning spring days quite like a good old fashioned garden party.
Pymble Ladies College will be throwing their annual Garden Party on Saturday the 16th of September, and all are welcome.
There will be food, coffee, market stalls, entertainment, rides and more and all funds raised will be distributed to the Smith Family and Dignity charities.

Tastes of Naremburn
Organised by the Naremburn Progress Association this event is all about fun and offers the opportunity to support local businesses while enjoying a fun afternoon with your family and mingling with your neighbours.
The event will have markets, live music, food and shopping, and a jumping castle and face painting for the kids. Most importantly Tastes of Naremburn is about bringing the community together by transforming the shopping village into a celebratory community space.

Manly Jazz Festival
This three-day festival of all things jazz will feature more than 50 artists across four different stages: Beachfront Stage, Sydney Road Stage, Jazz Stars of the Future Stage and St Matt’s Stage.
Musicians and their styles will vary greatly, with everything from the Sydney Conservatorium Big Band to intimate ensembles and solo acts, right the way through to some of our best and brightest jazz school bands. You’d be hard pressed not to find an act (or ten) that you’d be tapping your feet along to.
The festival is completely free and non-ticketed, the only requirement is that you bring a love of music and your dancing shoes!

Lane Cove Rotary Fair and Sustainability Lane
Rotary Club of Lane Cove have been running their popular annual Street Fair since 1993. This year, the fair will feature plenty of entertainment, market stalls, a kid’s petting zoo, rides, face painting and displays from local community groups.
This year will also incorporate Sustainability Lane. This event is designed to promote sustainable living and eco-friendly lifestyle options and will give visitors the opportunity to join in on themed workshops, view electric vehicles and learn more from local community organisations, conservationists and more.

Crows Nest Fest
This year’s festival promises over 150 artisan and produce stallholders, boasting an array of activities, delectable cuisine, captivating entertainment, and more.
There’ll be a Food Alley with the best of Crow’s Nests culinary delights; the top section of Willoughby Road will transform into a lively Licensed Zone featuring the beloved Crows Nest Hotel with a selection of boutique drink marquees. Talented local artists and performers will grace multiple music stages, setting the perfect ambiance for the festivities. Big Music has programmed the musical talents on the Ernest Place stage and local school bands and dance groups will perform on Holtermann St.
Children and families are in for a treat with the lively Kids’ Zone, featuring a petting zoo, pony rides, street entertainers, buskers, and the much-loved Circus Playground with juggling toys, stilts, unicycles, spinning and balancing acts in the new Hume St park.

Mosman OctoberFeast Night Market
Oktoberfest gets its own little Mosman tweak as part of Festival of Mosman and becomes OctoberFeast Night Market.
Featuring all the things you’d expect including gourmet food and artisan beer, you’ll also be able to enjoy some great live entertained by Dom Diaz, The Sauerkrauts and St Raphaels German Folk Dancing Group.
Get ready to eat and dance the night away with your family under twinkling fairy lights.

Mosman Children’s Fair
Running in conjunction with the annual Festival of Mosman will be a special event just at children. The Children’s Fair morning is completely free and will feature performers, rides, arts and crafts, story time, animal exhibitions, drumming and face painting.
The morning is suitable for all children aged 5 and over.
