High School to Hireable prepares teens and young adults with real world, real life skills they need for job interviews.
Developed in consultation with teachers, parents and school leavers.
The interview skills students learn can be used for a part-time job, apprenticeship, full time job, internship, cadetship and ADF application, also applies to university and scholarship interviews.
It is a live and interactive webinar program, tailored to students in Year 10, 11 and 12. Over a 4 week period, 1 hour a week after school hours. We teach the following practical skills preparing them for interviews:
How to talk about themselves (without feeling like a muppet)
The tools to perform with confidence in an interview
Identify and name their ‘strengths’ and ‘weaknesses’
Understand what the recruitment team or manager is looking for in a candidate
How to handle rejections, hurdles and negotiations
The importance of creating a consistent social media presence
How to research employers and interact with employers on LinkedIn
And last but not least, we provide extensive practical tips and ideas how to write a Cover Letter and create their own Resume
The program comes with a comprehensive Interview Skills workbook (over 70 pages) and resume & cover letter template.
As we all tackle the new realities of COVID-19, we are acutely aware that high school students will be up against a lot of competition.
