Flat Rock Brew Café, Naremburn
When you want to have a family outing that even dad will love, pay a visit to the Flat Rock Brew Café where everyone is welcomed – even your dog!
Karl and Jenny are local residents that now have a loyal following of people who come to sample the craft beers brewed onsite and share a food platter. And, you can arrange a tour of the brewery for Dad while you sit and enjoy a drink with your pup by your side – what’s not to like?

The Sailor Bar, Northbridge
This is the local port of call for you and your pooch after an early evening walk. You can relax on the outdoor lounges at the front of this Northbridge venue, popular with locals for its impressive gin and cocktails list accompanied by a sharing menu. On Sundays you can enjoy a roast lunch with an authentic Yorkshire pudding, and most Friday nights you can kick up your heels with live music.

The Incinerator Café, Willoughby
Everyone loves the outdoor seating area at The Incinerator – including dogs! The local architectural gem was designed by Walter Burley Griffin in the 1930s and now houses a café that offers a breakfast and lunch menu. It’s popular with locals seeking a caffeine fix on their morning dog walks around Bicentennial Reserve.
Sit outside and enjoy the seasonal menu while you sip a glass of wine and your dog is served its own bowl of water.

Salmon & Bear and MsChief, Crows Nest
Postitioned on top of the Crows Nest Coles supermarket are two wonderful pet friendly options. Salmon & Bear and MsChief are two separate venues that share a dog (and child!) friendly courtyard. It’s a great alfresco option for breakfast, lunch or dinner. There are plenty of outdoor tables available for small and medium sized groups, and there’s a car park below with two hours free parking!

Annata, Crows Nest
If you’d like your pup to accompany you to a more high end establishment, then look no further than Annata, where the wine bar and a five-course Chef’s Tasting Menu are just the start of the fine dining experience for lunch or dinner.
They’ve upgraded their outdoor setting for alfresco dining, where your dog will be able to relax with heaters and water bowls while you quaff a few glasses of red.

El Gringos, Crows Nest
Crows Nest’s newest Mexican restaurant has had some famous customers recently (*ahem, Russell Crowe!) so why not treat yourself and your best friend to a night at El Gringo’s?
Dogs are welcome at the enclosed courtyard at the rear, as well as the front – water bowls are available on request. For the human companion, a variety of snacks and slow cooked meat tacos are on the menu alongside a range of cocktails.

The Buena, Mosman
A favourite watering hole for Mosmanites since 1900, the recently restored Buena is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a refreshing ale, fine wine or classic cocktail. The Buena is dog-friendly in the outdoor dining area from Monday to Sunday. Take your pooch along and enjoy puppy parking and water bowls for your fur-baby to enjoy.

This beautiful, French themed cafe, is nestled in the heritage landscape of Headland park. They welcome young families, cyclists, dog walkers, discoverers and of course the Mosman locals. Surrounded by artist studios and ocean views, Frenchy’s is a bush walk away from popular landmarks including Balmoral, Chowder Bay and Taronga Zoo.
Open 7 days a week, serving breakfast from 7:30am-11:30am and lunch from 11:45am-3pm.
One of Sydney’s oldest sports clubs and harbour destinations, Mosman Rowers reopened in March 2019, following the generous support of loyal members and the local community. Archie Bear at Mosman Rowers welcomes wet bums and sandy feet (or paws!) on the deck for breakfast till 11:30am, lunch & dinner till 9pm.
The Greens, North Sydney
With a stunning view of the harbour bridge, your furry friends, big or small, are welcome in the courtyard dining area at The Greens. St Leonard’s Park is right beside it where you can chat with other dog owners as your pups have a good run.
The seasonal menu offers everything from the healthy salads to the indulgent meat dishes. There are share platters too which is great for groups or a light refreshment.

Puppadeli Pet Cafe, Lane Cove
It shows just how much the lower North Shore loves their furry friends when a cafe pops up that is just for dogs! Situated at 1/22 Rosenthal Ave in The Canopy precinct in leafy Lane Cove, Puppadeli Cafe offers “handmade bowl-lickin’ pet meals and tail-waggin’ experiences for your furry friends.” And they take their dog food very seriously!

What’s not to love about this pint sized café serving hot coffees to sports parents on the soccer/cricket sidelines at the western end of the park. There are hooks to tie up your pup while you order inside, where they even have a dedicated dog menu that includes a puppycino (goat’s milk) and waffles.
You can enjoy your coffee at the outdoor seating area before you head to the fenced off-leash dog park alongside it which has water, shade, seating and equipment for dogs of all sizes.
