Children and adults alike will be utterly enchanted by some of the most amazing creatures to have walked this earth… and lived under the sea … when Erth’s Prehistoric World arrives at The Concourse in Chatswood this year.
Erth’s Prehistoric World is a magical blend of theatre and puppetry that brings ancient dinosaurs and sea creatures to life on stage. From the mysterious marine animals that lived under the sea, to the larger carnivores that roamed the land, you will be taken on a journey that explores how these creatures lived. Families will be mesmerised by the lifelike creatures that enter the audience, and encourage spectator participation when the world-famous Erth team arrive at The Concourse in Chatswood in October.
Dinosaurs have been described as a gateway to learning, inspiring young minds to consider an array of subjects from science to literature, geology to bio engineering, and natural history to mathematics. As a production company, Erth is driven by a special interest in natural history, indigenous folklore, sociology and urban mythology, and their creations evoke wide-eyed open-mouthed expressions of awe from spectators of all ages.
Erth incorporates puppetry, movement, acting, aerial, stilts and pyrotechnics into its shows, which have been entertaining audiences around Australia for more than 25 years. The lighting is spectacular, and the company were invited to stage productions during Vivid in 2018 and 2019.
Fans may recognise this production as a fusion of the highly successful previous works of Dinosaur Zoo and Prehistoric Aquarium, which the New York Times described as “solid science as well as an extraordinary spectacle”.
The company is recognised internationally for its work which connects with audiences young and old, by educating, inspiring, motivating and empowering people to make an impact in the world through their own actions.
Erth is staging three shows in October at the Chatswood Concourse, with a duration of just under an hour, making it ideal for younger audiences. Book quick though as these will sell out.
