The Glenaeon Family Fair is a standout annual event on Sydney’s lower north shore, enjoyed by families and friends of the school, local residents, and visitors from far and wide.

Hosted by the school’s parent community, the Family Fair is our biggest annual fundraising event, and offers a magical weekend of good food, fabulous art and craft, wholesome family fun, and lively entertainment.
It is also a great opportunity to find out more about Steiner education, view students’ work, and talk to teachers about the difference a Glenaeon education makes.

The Glenaeon Family Fair offers a range of fun and creative activities for children of all ages, such as crystal mining, face painting, wooden toy making, tie dye, photo booth, craft, storytelling and much more.
Children can test their skills climbing Jacob’s ladder, throwing a ball in a bucket, or scaling the heights of the famous Lollipop Climb. And make sure not to miss the enchantment of the Grotto, especially for younger children.
The Glenaeon Family Fair has a reputation for delicious and healthy food options, with a range of food stalls run by parents, serving a variety of homemade and locally sourced items:

In keeping with our school values of sustainability, all food and drinks are served in reusable cups and biodegradable plates, and recycling is enabled via our waste separation program.
Keeping the vibe upbeat and family friendly all day long, our main stage will host a suite of live performers which will include talented students, parents and teachers.
From jazz bands, to drummers, instrumentalists, vocalists, fencing demonstrations and more – there will be something to suit every taste.
On Fair Day, the Glenaeon Castlecrag Campus becomes a haven of unique market stalls. Take advantage of the opportunity to do some early Christmas shopping at the many school-run stalls including:
Parent Craft Stall – exquisite toys and gifts, all lovingly handmade by Glenaeon parents
Produce Stall – homemade jams, preserves and many other treats
Cake Stall – freshly baked cakes, muffins and slices
Preloved Books & Clothes Stalls
Additionally, a wide variety of External Stalls round out the shopping experience, including the Steiner Bookshop as well as unique retailers and hobby artists offering handmade toys, eco-friendly and fair-trade homewares, sustainable clothing and accessories, ceramics, paintings, candles, and much more.
