Light the way with Lanterns

Get crafty to create a unique Lunar New Year inspired lantern. Build something amazing from everyday recycled materials at this special creative kids workshop.

Show off your lantern at our Lunar New Year Twilight Lantern Parade in Chatswood on Sunday 5 February.

Suitable for primary school aged children K-6.

This event is part of the 2023 Chatswood Year of the Rabbit Festival, presented by Willoughby City Council and funded by the NSW Government.

• Participation is at one’s own risk. All care will be given but no responsibility can be taken. Parental supervision is recommended for safety and support.
• Materials used are milk cartons and recycled with potential risks.
• This event is free of charge but bookings are essential. If for any reason you cannot attend the event after registration, please contact us to cancel your tickets ASAP so that we can fill your place.
• The health and safety of our community is our priority. Please do not attend this workshop if you are feeling unwell.

About the facilitator

‘The Creative Teacher’ Michelle Robinson is an award-winning teacher and artist who makes art using sustainable, recycled and natural materials. Michelle works with all ages to nurture creativity through art.
