Hank & Hera launches one of the world’s most inclusive premium nightwear lines.

Hank & Hera, a brand-new luxury nightwear label out of Sydney’s North Shore, is poised to mark a significant step forward in the fashion world, offering the epitome of inclusive premium nightwear. Founded by Mosman local Philippa Giles, Hank & Hera offers a new commitment to inclusivity with timeless silhouettes and premium-quality fabrics.

The label boasts the most extensive size range in the industry (sizes 4-34), ensuring that all women can indulge in the luxury of well-crafted nightwear.

As a plus-size woman and lover of fine fashion in classic style silhouettes, the inspiration behind HANK & HERA stems from Philippa Giles’ own experience with the current market gap.

“Every woman deserves to feel like a goddess, regardless of her size,” said Philippa.

“Despite an increase in conversation around inclusive fashion and the fact the average Australian woman is a size 14-16, the size-inclusive fashion market continues to be severely underserviced, especially in the premium space. I personally experienced the frustration of not finding what I wanted to wear, so I decided to create it.”

“Our mission at Hank & Hera is to provide beautifully crafted nightwear that empowers women of all sizes, making them feel timeless and elegant.”

The collection draws inspiration from Hera, the Queen of the Gods, known for her timeless beauty and strength. What sets Hank & Hera apart is not only its commitment to inclusivity but also its dedication to quality. All garments are meticulously crafted using premium-quality natural fabrics including cotton, linen and silks.

Each piece is thoughtfully designed for women who appreciate the finer things in life, just like the brand’s namesake, while also accommodating the specific female needs in nightwear.

“These garments exude resilience and power but they also cater to functionality and versatility,” she said.

“In our designs, we prioritise both beauty and functionality, with a strong focus on supporting women throughout various stages of life, from breastfeeding to extended bed stays for the elderly. Our intentional use of high-quality natural fabrics serves multiple purposes including durability and addressing issues such as hot flushes during menopause. Whether it’s the breathability of lightweight linen and cotton or the thoughtful design for women living life, we’ve considered every aspect,” explained Philippa Giles.

“The brand’s dedication to excellence is evident in every stitch and detail.”

Designed in Australia, the brand also supports female-founded businesses in the manufacturing process, contributing to women’s empowerment in the industry. The brand’s ethos extends to its garment naming tradition. Each design is labelled after a family member, friend, or public figure who has played a pivotal role in Philippa’s personal and business journey.

“These pieces are a heartfelt tribute to the women who have enriched my life and are an appreciation that women everywhere are remarkable in their own, unique way,” she said.

Hank & Hera’s launch is poised to make waves in the world of nightwear, setting a new standard for inclusive luxury and quality. Now available to consumers across Philippa Giles’ online boutique, SISU & FINN, the initial range features 26 garments in sizes 4-34.
