An extraordinary mural of visiting megastar Taylor Swift has gone up in Crows Nest, making locals question if the singer might drop by the music store that commissioned it?

One would have to be living under a very large rock to not know Taylor Swift is in Sydney for her Eras tour this week.

Tay Tay fever is well and truly sweeping the city, with over 320,000 people expected to attend her four sold-out concerts over the next four nights.

Huge murals of the 14-time Grammy singer have suddenly been popping up in Surry Hills, Woolloomooloo, and now we have one on the North Shore, too!

Mannys Music store commissioned talented artist, Sidney Tapia, to paint the ‘Anti-Hero’ singer outside their Alexander St, Crows Nest store.

No stranger to a blank wall, the freestyle aerosol artist has captured Taylor Swift in stunning black and white, guitar in hand and microphone at the ready. Colourful streaks in the background create a stunning vibrancy to the photorealistic portrait.

Sharing a photo of the mural on his Instagram account, Tapia thanked everyone for the positive feedback.

“Extended thx for all the comments,” said Tapia. “And for the lovely chats and smiles.”

“Damn fine piece of work. Repped Tay Tay to perfection,” said one commenter.

“Stellar! On point as always. An amazing piece Sid!” Said another.

While there’s no denying it’s an incredible representation of the singer, it does have locals wondering if this means she might be dropping in for a visit? We asked the team at Mannys Music if they had any intel.

“I can’t comment on Taylor’s movements,” said Manny’s assistant manager, Isac Woodcock. “However, the mural is creating quite a buzz.”

Paul Watson, Musical Development Manager at Big Music, located above Mannys Music, also wasn’t aware of her movements, but said she’s more than welcome to drop in for a jam session.

“I haven’t been informed that Taylor is stopping by,” said Watson. “She would be more than welcome.”

Every corner of Sydney will be under scrutiny this weekend, with eagle-eyed fans ready to capture Taylor Swift’s movements. So, will she grace Mannys Music to pose with Sid Tapia’s amazing artwork? Or pop into a local concert like seriously nice singer Pink did recently?

It would be a cruel summer if not… but at least local fans can now head over to Crows Nest for a great pic with this incredible artwork of the famous singer!
