HyeCare aged care suites in the Heart of Willoughby are doing things differently, offering a new type of boutique, personalised care in a home-like environment for our Willoughby seniors.
Located in the new Heart of Willoughby precinct in Crabbes Avenue, Willoughby, HyeCare offers just 47 high care suites, many with their own private courtyards, across three levels. Each level is designed to feel like a home with its own lounge room and fireplace, domestic style kitchen, dining room, outdoor terraces and Registered Nurses, care staff and security on site 24 hours a day.

HyeCare offers permanent care, short term care, palliative care and dementia care and focuses on allowing residents to live with dignity. HyeCare staff take the time to get to know each of the residents and tailor everything to their personal preferences
With a dedicated Lifestyle Co-ordinator, tailoring a lifestyle program for HyeCare residents, residents enjoy life to the full with regular bus trips to Balmoral Beach for fish and chips in a beachfront restaurant, walks along Manly promenade or a visit to the new Sydney Fish Markets.
HyeCare residents also enjoy the full suite of on-site luxury amenities including a private café, movie theatre, art classes, gym sessions, and heated indoor pool with spa, sauna and steam room.
What truly makes HyeCare special is the highly experienced, friendly staff with higher staff ratios than any other care homes which benefits residents as HyeCare staff have more time to give each resident “person centred care” individualised for each resident.
HyeCare residents feel a part of the community with everyone enjoying a weekly happy hour with wine and charcuterie boards – which is open for families to join, and themed fun events like the recent Christmas in July lunch with Santa visiting for lunch.
“We designed HyeCare so the move from independent living isn’t a leap into the unknown,” says Patrick Abolakian, CEO, HyeCare. “As our caring staff take the time to really get to know each resident a frightening transition is changed into a manageable and positive experience.”
“HyeCare was designed to respond to one of the most pressing challenges facing Australian communities: how to help people age with dignity, connection and choice.”

“For local Willoughby residents, the project creates the opportunity to downsize locally, remain close to family and friends, and access a continuum of care in the same community rather than having to move away from the area as needs change,” adds Mr Abolakian.
“We believe by offering Hyegrove retirement apartments and HyeCare aged care suites in the Heart of Willoughby precinct, we are offering a compelling blueprint for how established suburban locations can be reimagined to meet the needs of an ageing population while strengthening the social and economic life of the surrounding community.”
