Limes Dry Cleaners is a family-run business that’s been in the trade for 40 years and has withstood the test of time to now open their third location for the lower North Shore.
From general dry-cleaning to household items, to wedding dresses, leather goods, alterations and repairs, and everything in between, Limes Dry Cleaners have made a name for themselves as one of the most professional dry-cleaning businesses in the area. Adding to their already popular and well-known locations in Mosman and Neutral Bay, the family-owned business has now added a shopfront in Crows Nest to their portfolio.
Owner James Barsoum tells us how the business has been a part of his whole life. “My family has been in dry cleaning for nearly 40 years, and I started working in the family business when I left school back in 2003. I have always been passionate about dry cleaning and running my own business.”
Fast forward to now, and he has owned Limes in Neutral Bay for 11 years and Mosman for 6 years and says the decision to add Crows Nest to the list was an easy one.
“I love Crows Nest; the hub is buzzing with people all the time. My manager from Neutral Bay, Alec, wanted to invest in the business so we decided to open Crows Nest together.”
James tells us it took a good 6 months to find the perfect location before they settled on a shopfront on Willougby Road. The new location offers the perfect combination of accessibility and a good hub of surrounding local businesses.
Whether you’ve already experienced Limes’ exceptional service, or you’re new to the business, James tells us that the Crows Nest location will bring all the things that everyone loves about Limes.
“The secret to our success is our professionalism, attention to detail and genuine passion for what we do” says James, “I try to offer the best possible service I can to my customers and train my staff to be as helpful as possible.”
This desire to go above and beyond for his customers has also brought about some fantastic convenience options for getting your dry-cleaning done. Not only do Limes offer a pick-up and drop-off service, but they also have the Red Box service, which allows you to easily drop off and collect your garments from the store 24/7.
These services bring about some long hours for James but, despite the challenges of running a demanding business, whilst balancing family life, he tells us he wouldn’t have it any other way.
“Our job is to have people looking fresh and good on a daily basis, and for their special events, and that is incredibly rewarding.”
James encourages anyone local to the area to come down and say hello and feel free to ask any questions you may have and take advantage of the fantastic opening specials they have running until the 30th of September.
“I have got all the time in the world for my customers, and I cannot wait to add some Limes to Willoughby Road!”
