Give your kids the inspiration of working in a real Potter’s studio! They poke it, squeeze it, hit it, pick it up and so on. Each time they act on the clay, the clay adjusts and responds. These changes in the clay are magical. The child is naturally fascinated, motivated, and empowered to keep experimenting. Children will learn the simple techniques of ceramic art to make various themed projects.

Adventure Camp, Northbridge, Chowder Bay and Cockatoo Island

Adventure Camp is what parents and children dream of when it comes to a school holiday activity. With the tagline ‘No kids left inside’, there is also an amazing philosophy that runs through the core of the program. “We believe that kids learn through adventure and the best adventures are had outdoors. As parents we want our kids to be able to gain great life skills and learn to feel safe and have fun outdoors. That’s why we started Adventure Camp.” These holidays, there are three Camps to choose from, in three convenient locations around Sydney:

Chowder Bay Adventure Camp: 8-10 October; 8am-5.30pm

Based from the Sydney Institute of Marine Science (SIMS), Chowder Bay, there will be new activities, challenges and stories – but with plenty of outdoor adventure. With the weather warming up, water-based games are making a return – including rafting, snorkeling and swimming (wetsuits provided).

Northbridge Adventure Camp: 3-5 October; 8.30am-5.30pm

Held at Northbridge Sailing Club, Bethwaite Lane, Northbridge. The 3-day camp will be action packed with plenty of outdoor fun and games – and no iPads in sight! With warm weather expected sailing is on, as well as swimming and water games – plus some new challenges.

Cockatoo Island Adventure Camp: 3-5 October; 8.30am-5.30pm

Kids will explore tunnels, learn about the history of the Island and solve a mystery of 1920’s gangland Sydney… There will be plenty of water-based activities (and a short trip over to Greenwich Baths for swimming, snorkeling and rafting – wetsuits provided), plus team-work challenges and our trademark Prize Auction to finish up!

You can drop-off and pick up your kids at either Balmain Ferry Wharf, Greenwich Point Ferry Wharf, Woolwich Ferry Wharf or on Cockatoo Island.

Good to Know: Adventure Camp is for boys and girls in primary school, aged 7-12. The day is generally broken up into four separate periods of activity – and plenty of rest is provided for lunch, morning & afternoon tea and drinks. All staff hold current First Aid certificates, and have completed a ‘Working with Children’ check. There is also an Adventure Camp Rewards & Referral Program!  When you buy a ticket, you’ll get a special referral code.  You can share this code with your friends, and every time someone uses your code to buy a ticket, you earn either Cash Back, or credits towards the next Adventure Camp!
