The Balmoral Swim is Back for 2021!March 11, 2021
The Balmoral Swim is a favourite on everyone’s swim calendar; a unique open water swim held at a stunning local favourite beach. If you love ocean swims, or you’re a first-timer, now is the moment to take the plunge and sign up!
Whether you are new to ocean swimming or a seasoned veteran, The Balmoral Swim is an event worth considering. Not only do you get to experience the fabulous feeling of accomplishment that comes with an ocean swim, but you’ll be helping raise crucial funds for childhood cancer. And this happens at arguably one of Australia’s most beautiful beaches (and one of our closest).
The event has been organised since 2005 by the Balmoral Beach Club and a number of community members who founded the swim. All members of the committee are volunteers, as are the many helpers on race day.
In 2010 the swim was awarded the Children’s Cancer Institute Benefactors Award in recognition of outstanding support for the Children’s Cancer Institute. This award belongs to the community of swimmers and volunteers who have supported the event every year.
There’s an amazing energy and sense of community on the day, so don’t be afraid to dive in and sign up below!!
