Everyone from beginners to the most established gym goers are welcome at The Move Mentor Academy. This brand new, state-of-the-art facility in Middle Cove offers individual and semi-private physical training as well as mentoring sessions for all ages and abilities.

Starting The Move Mentor Academy has been a lifelong dream for founding director and head coach, Justin Williams. He has 25 years of coaching and mentorship experience in the financial markets and is now re-directing this focus to help people navigate the work/life balance through a holistic approach that uses fitness and strength at its core.

“Being able to make a difference to the physical and mental well-being of our local community is what excites me most,” says Justin. And the point of difference with The Move Mentor Academy is that Justin will assist with more than the physical coaching aspect.

“I am acutely aware of the day-to-day challenges of all functioning adults. If training at regular intervals becomes a priority, I am certain of the benefits. I am also able to listen, converse, and contribute to any situation should the individual be looking for it.”

The Move Mentor Academy offers individual and semi-private (up to three people) physical training and mentoring sessions inside their Middle Cove hub. Here you will find top-quality resistance equipment including cable machines, Olympic squat racks and air bikes. If you prefer outdoor group training, the team also run Sunday morning sessions at Willoughby Park for both adults and kids.

One of Justin’s greatest passions is guiding adolescent males (ages 13-17) to achieve their desired physical, practical and psychological goals.

“We focus on adolescent males who need a “third voice” in their approach to life,” he explains. “I want to help guide the younger generation. My ability to subtly mentor and challenge a positive lifestyle is a major reason for me pursuing this dream.  “

These adolescent coaching and training sessions focus on technique, rather than weights, and particularly target core strength through functional exercises like boxing.

Justin is particularly excited to bring his unique offering to the lower North Shore.

“I am born and bred here. I grew up in the area, went to primary and high school in the surrounding suburbs and will always call this part of Sydney home,” he says.

“It excites me to see the ongoing regeneration of the lower north shore with quality people who are proudly continuing the traditions of past residents.”

Locals can book a session through The Move Mentor Academy website, and Justin says that the team are proud to offer free trials to any individuals or semi-private groups that want to meet him and give his training regimes a go.
