The whole community is invited to join The Public’s free 8th birthday party on Sunday 2nd April – with DJs, drinks and delicious food! And what a party it promises to be…
The celebration of Cammeray’s much-loved restaurant and bar The Public includes an energetic line-up of Strictly Vinyl DJs, $5 schooners of The Public’s lager and house wines, yummy food and, as always, lots of community spirit.
Sitting pretty on Miller Street since 2015, The Public is a local favourite serving seasonal, modern Australian dishes, crisp beers and enticing cocktails. The restaurant’s light-filled modern design and open layout create an inviting space to eat, drink and enjoy time with friends or make new ones.
“We are proud in saying we made it through COVID restrictions, lockdowns, staff and goods shortages, and other hurdles,” say owners Arthur and Harris. “For that, we want to thank our local community and our hard-working staff.” And what better way to say thank you than a free party!
The Public’s 8th birthday party kicks off at 2:30pm with live DJs until 7:30pm. The line-up includes a 3-hour set by actor, Logie & AACTA award winner Alex Dimitriades, a.k.a. Boogie Monster, followed by original and remixed tracks from Arty Stamos, who has performed in over 100 Australian nightclubs and international events. Last on the decks is The Public’s local resident DJ and vinyl enthusiast, JKA with his decades-old collection of beats.
But The Public’s great community offerings won’t end there. Join them year round for a midweek feast with weekly chef’s specials and deals including $25 Pasta and Wine Wednesdays or Steak Night Thursdays ($10 off all steaks). Drop by for sunset drinks with a great variety of wines, 10 beer taps of craft and brand names plus a rotating tap, and a long list of classic cocktails.
Then end your weekend with live music at The Public every Sunday from 3:30-6:30pm. Upcoming performers include Bernie Segedin and Peter Northcoteon Sunday 26th March, Virginia Lillye and Raymund Shek on Sunday 16th April, and Tine Garufi and Dan Skeed on Sunday 23rd April.
The Public is always up for a celebration and is happy to host functions of any shape or size. From seated lunches to evening canapés, they offer flexible food and beverage options to suit your budget and needs. Exclusive venue hire is also available for those who really want to impress.
