In case you haven’t heard, we have a brand new Asian-inspired food concept in Castlecrag. Jia Home is now ”home” to some of Sydney’s best Asian chefs. And they’re serving up dine-in, home delivery and Yum Cha!
Our newest, and very exciting restaurant in the neighbourhood opened during the recent lockdown. As a result, many are just hearing about it – usually via stellar reviews from their local friends. It wasn’t ill timing however, Jia Home’s opening was planned as a quick response to a need lockdown had created for quality home delivery.
“Jia Home is a new Asian-inspired food concept established during the COVID19 pandemic, with the aim to deliver high quality Chinese cuisine to our customers’ homes,” says one of the founders, John Zhang.
Home delivery may not be a new concept, but assuring Chinese food of the highest quality is what arrives at your door is a great assurance. Jia Home is now ”home” to some of the best known Asian restaurants’ ex-chefs (think Lotus, New Shanghai, Mr Wong, Lady Shanghai and The Century.) “So every dish is filled with passion, and we strive to exceed your expectation in taste and enjoyment,” says John.
Now that restrictions have eased, many are making their way into Jia Home for the dine in experience at Castlecrag’s The Quadrangle, and the reviews coming in via WL are glowing.
“Had an amazing lunch today at Jia Home. Yum Cha! My new favourite place”,
“Thank you Jia for our private dining experience last night. The crab, pippis, the prawns and tea smoked duck… every dish was delicious. WL folks, if you love Chinese food, you must try Jia Home.”
“Just had an incredibly delicious meal @ Jia Home in Castlecrag. Chefs are ex Mr Wong. Go check it out you won’t be disappointed.”
Jia Home is open for lunch Wed-Sat from 11am-2pm, and for dinner on the same days from 4.30pm-8pm. “‘Come and try our special dim sims, crystal translucent dumplings, BBQ pork snow buns, three cup chicken, seafood jade tofu and much more,” says John. ‘Yum Cha is also available on the weekend during lunch for dine in or takeaway.”
