Willoughby Carols, Willoughby Park, Saturday December 2, 4pm-9pm.
An ever-popular family event, this year the gates open at 4pm with the carols starting at 7pm. There will be live entertainment, kids’ activities and a surprise visit from a special Christmas guest! Bring a picnic and blanket and be prepared to be entertained by the Willoughby Band and Willoughby Symphony Choir.

Northbridge Carols, Northbridge Oval, Saturday December 2, 6pm-8.30pm.
This free community event has been going strong at Northbridge Oval since 2009. 2. Santa Photos

If you’re after truly pretty pictures, Santa’s Enchanted Garden at QVB is worth a trip over the Bridge. “The whimsical garden, covered in blooms and adorned with twinkling lights, is a magical place where wishes really do come true. 3. Christmas Lights

You may have just visited the residents of the Avenues in Willoughby for Halloween, and their efforts are replicated in their Christmas decorations – it always makes for a lovely family stroll at dusk. Lane Cove Council now offers an online map of decorated homes, as well as prizes for best home, best street and people’s choice.
