Chatswood 2060: Shaping the City’s Future
Willoughby City Council is launching Chatswood 2060, a long-term initiative to guide the city’s growth and development over the next 30 years.
Why Chatswood 2060 matters
Chatswood is one of Sydney’s most dynamic centres, with a significant and growing residential and business community, strong public transport links and leading cultural and retail destinations. Chatswood 2060 will guide housing growth, business investment, infrastructure and high-quality public spaces as the city becomes more densely populated.
Join the launch event
The launch will begin a city-wide conversation about Chatswood’s future. Council will outline its approach to managing growth, prioritising infrastructure and preparing a draft master plan for release in 2027.
Speakers will include Willoughby Mayor Tanya Taylor, General Manager Hugh Phemister, Director Planning Dylan Porter and a special guest speaker from the Committee for Sydney. They will discuss Chatswood’s role in Sydney and the opportunities ahead.

Be among the first to explore what is possible for Chatswood and share your views. Further opportunities to contribute will be available as Chatswood 2060 develops, including consultation on the draft master plan in 2027.
